Girls' Frontline 2 Patch History
From the December 2024 launch to Chiral Redundancy in September 2026.
Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium has been live long enough that “the current banner” is a useless search if you cannot place it on a calendar. This page is the timeline: launch, Steam, anniversary cadence, and the 2026 rate-up windows that lead into Chiral Redundancy. It is not a copy of every in-client note. It is the skeleton you use to judge reruns, skip patterns, and whether a Doll you missed is likely to return.
For what is actually pullable today, use current banners. For the parent index, use the Updates Hub. Pity rules have been stable enough that gacha pity still applies across these rows: 0.6% Elite, soft pity near 58, hard pity 80, 50/50, worst case 160, pity does not carry across banners.
Launch and platforms
Sunborn shipped a free-to-play tactical RPG. Darkwinter / Sunborn opened global mobile and PC on 3 December 2024. Haoplay opened on 5 December 2024. Steam (Haoplay app 3308670) followed on 11 February 2025. iOS and Android clients exist for both publishers. Accounts never transfer. A commander who “started on Steam then moved to Darkwinter” started a second UID.
Early global patches taught the two-publisher habit that still bites people: launch codes (GFL2LAUNCH, GF2EXILIUM) died fast and were often locked to one store. That pattern never stopped. When you read a 2025 code in 2026, send it to expired codes, not the redeem box.
How a version is shaped
Most global versions last about three weeks and ship two halves. Half one is a new Elite plus an event shop. Half two is another Elite or a major rerun. Permanent systems (beginner banner, standard 260-pull selector, Platoon, Gunsmoke Frontline) persist under that. Gunsmoke is a guild raid-like board, not a campaign you share with a second controller. See Platoon and Gunsmoke if you have been treating the board as flavor text.
Combat still sits on cover, stability, and tiles. When a patch “changes the meta,” it is usually a new attribute kit or a support who paints a tile type, not a rewrite of the grid. Combat tiles ages slower than any banner table.
2025 in brief
The first year of global was roster-building: Standard Elites, limited DPS names that still define best Dolls, and the first anniversary in late 2025. Preview programs around November 2025 talked through Crew Deck and first-anniversary rewards. Mid-2025 story beats (including the Beilan Island / Interstice of Reminiscence cluster with Belka, Andoris, and Jiangyu) matter if you are catching up on mail and Covenants, not if you are only here for September 2026 tickets.
If you returned after a long break, do not try to replay every 2025 shop. Claim catch-up mail, finish the current event, and use Reunion Oath in Chiral Redundancy to fill a launch-to-first-anniversary hole instead of panic-pulling every rerun.
2026 banner windows (global)
Dates below follow the public global Targeted Procurement calendar. Exact in-client names can differ by publisher mail, but the clocks are the planning tool.
| Window | Featured Elites (headline names) |
|---|---|
| 8 Jan – 28 Jan 2026 | Lewis, Florence, Peri |
| 29 Jan – 18 Feb 2026 | Sakura, Lind, Vector |
| 19 Feb – 11 Mar 2026 | Alva, Lenna, Leva |
| 12 Mar – 1 Apr 2026 | Voymastina, Robella, Makiatto |
| 2 Apr – 22 Apr 2026 | Lainie, Lewis, Klukai |
| 23 Apr – 13 May 2026 | Helen, Leva, Sakura |
| 14 May – 3 Jun 2026 | Phaetusa, Alva, Dushevnaya |
| 4 Jun – 24 Jun 2026 | Basti, Voymastina, Lind |
| 25 Jun – 15 Jul 2026 | Loreley, Lainie, Lewis (1.5 anniversary / Dawnforger Part 1; Harpsy as a welfare unlock) |
| 16 Jul – 5 Aug 2026 | Cheyanne, Liushih, Helen, Yoohee (Dawnforger Part 2 / Unto the Radiance) |
| 6 Aug – 26 Aug 2026 | Sextans, Phaetusa, Ullrid |
| 27 Aug – 16 Sep 2026 | OTs-14, Basti, Voymastina (Chiral Redundancy Part 1) |
| From 17 Sep 2026 | Soppo (Chiral Redundancy Part 2) |
The 1.5 anniversary cluster in June–August 2026 was the previous “best time to return” pitch: large pull mail, new Elites, and a free unlock track. Chiral Redundancy repeats that structure with MOD as the new system instead of another welfare AR. If you spent heavily on Sextans or Phaetusa in August, you are allowed to skip OTs-14. The game does not reset your account because a trailer called this the best patch.
How to use this table
Look at rerun spacing. Voymastina and Basti both came back inside a few months, which is why their current banners are optional for anyone who pulled the June window. Klukai’s April appearance still defines many Corrosion clears; she is the reason team comps keep mentioning that color. A name that has not rerun in half a year is a better Reunion Oath target than a Doll who was just on rate-up.
When a friend says a unit is “unobtainable now,” check this page before you believe them. Limited Elites rerun. Standard Elites sit on the permanent banner and the 260 selector. MOD Nemesis is a version unlock, not a disappeared gacha.
Pair the table with who to pull and the DPS tier list rather than with nostalgia. A 2025 favorite can still be a 2026 skip if your tiles already cover that job. New accounts should still start at getting started, redeem anything live on the codes hub, and finish the beginner banner before they treat this history as a shopping list.
The next row after Soppo is unknown until the publisher posts it. Do not pre-spend Collapse Pieces on a rumor. When Part 2’s shop and banners are live, this page will gain that row; until then, the only clock that matters is 16 September 2026 for Part 1. History is for skip discipline. The live event is for stamina.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers commanders actually search for.
When did Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium launch?
Darkwinter opened global mobile and PC on 3 December 2024. Haoplay opened 5 December 2024. Steam launched 11 February 2025. The game is released, not upcoming.
How long is a typical global version?
About three weeks, often split into two halves with a new Elite or a major rerun in each half. Standard and beginner banners stay up underneath that cadence.
Did Basti and Voymastina already rerun in 2026?
Yes. Both appeared in the 4–24 June 2026 window before returning in Chiral Redundancy Part 1. That is why their current banners are optional for June pullers.
Where does the 1.5 anniversary sit on this timeline?
Late June through early August 2026: Dawnforger Part 1 (Loreley, Harpsy welfare) and Part 2 (Cheyanne, Liushih), then the Sextans window in August before Chiral Redundancy.
Can I still get a Doll from an old banner?
Limited Elites rerun on later Targeted Procurements. Standard Elites stay on the permanent banner and the 260-pull selector. Reunion Oath in Chiral Redundancy also covers a launch-to-first-anniversary pool.
