Girls' Frontline 2 Getting Started in Exilium
Publisher choice, SL-1-2, codes, Beginner Procurement, and the first week of stamina.
Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium is already live. Global mobile and PC clients launched in December 2024; Steam launched on 11 February 2025. You play a bounty-hunter Commander leading T-Dolls from the Elmo through contamination zones. Combat is a turn-based tactical RPG with no random miss chance. This page is the day-one sequence: pick a publisher, finish the tutorial, claim rewards, spend the beginner banner, then farm without locking your account into a bad stamina habit.
If you already know you want a named Elite before you bind email, park this tab and open the reroll guide. Everyone else should play through once. Standard Elites and event shops carry a new account even if Beginner Procurement does not print Qiongjiu on the first 50 pulls.
Pick Darkwinter or Haoplay first
Two publishers ship the global game: Darkwinter / Sunborn and Haoplay. Region usually decides which client the store or launcher offers. Accounts, mail, paid currency, and most promo codes do not transfer between them. PC and mobile can share a save only on the same publisher version. Confirm the client on official links before you create an email login or spend Collapse Pieces.
Darkwinter covers North America and a large slice of English-speaking and SEA territories. Haoplay covers much of Europe, Latin America, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, and splits those into separate servers inside its own launcher. Friends lists and Platoons never cross those walls. If you care about a specific Discord or friend group, match their publisher before the tutorial ends.
Guest login is fine for a first look. Bind email only after you decide to keep the account. Steam players should still treat publisher choice as permanent; installing from Steam does not create a third economy.
Clear the tutorial through SL-1-2
The campaign tutorial hands you Groza and a short story string. Play until you clear SL-1-2. That node is the real unlock, not the last voiced cutscene. Mailbox, Procurement, and the in-game redeem box all wait on it. Skip movies if you intend to reroll; keep them if this is the account you will keep, because later chapters assume you know who is on the Elmo.
Movement is grid-based. Each Doll has a mobility range, a weapon type, and a phase (Burn, Freeze, Electric, Corrosion, Hydro, or Physical). You do not need the full combat and tiles lecture during SL-1-1, but learn two habits immediately:
- Park Dolls next to cover. Half-cover and full-cover cut incoming damage by roughly 30–35 percent. Stability Index adds about 60 percent more damage reduction while the shield number is above zero and you are actually in cover.
- Flank, melee, some area attacks, and high ground ignore that Stability reduction. If an enemy looks immortal, you are shooting the shield face-on.
Confectance Index is the skill resource that fuels ultimates. Do not dump every skill on turn one unless the stage timer is the fail condition.
Claim mailbox, then codes
Open the mailbox as soon as SL-1-2 completes. Launch, maintenance, and event attachments sit there, including Access Permissions and Collapse Pieces. Then redeem live codes. In-game path: Settings, Personal Information, Redeem Code. You can also use the official site with your UID. Full steps are on how to redeem. Active strings live on the codes hub; dead ones are archived under expired codes. Publisher-specific codes will fail on the other client, so do not assume a screenshot from the other region will work.
Spend Beginner Procurement before anything else
Beginner Procurement is a 50-pull banner that disappears when the 50 are gone. You can only pull in tens, and each ten costs 8 Access Permissions instead of 10. An Elite Doll is guaranteed inside those 50 pulls. There is no rate-up on this banner; the pool is the standard Elites (historically Qiongjiu, Tololo, Sabrina, Mosin-Nagant, Peritya, Vepley, and whoever else the client lists).
Dump the discounted tens here before you touch Standard Procurement or a limited banner. A guaranteed Elite for 40 tickets is the best rate you will see on an account. After that, read gacha and pity before you convert Collapse Pieces. Limited Supports such as Suomi are worth Targeted Access Permissions when they are up; standard pity is an 80-pull Elite-or-weapon roll with a one-time 260-pull selector. Pity does not share across banners.
If you care who that first Elite is, check who to pull and the DPS / Supports splits. Qiongjiu (Action Support DPS) and Tololo are the usual standard keepers. A limited Support on-banner can outrank both for account value. Do not spend the beginner tens on a limited banner; you cannot.
What to farm after the banner
Commander Level gates Doll and weapon caps. Campaign first clears are the fastest way to raise that level while you still have story nodes. When the campaign is blocked, spend Intelligence Puzzles (stamina) across several Supply types instead of emptying the bar into Combat Reports.
| Resource | Use |
|---|---|
| Combat Reports | Doll EXP |
| Analysis Blueprints | Weapon EXP |
| Stock Boost Bars | Neural Expansion / level-cap breaks |
| Transcription Conductors | Neural Helix nodes |
| Sardis Gold | Attachments and Helix gold costs |
| Collapse Pieces | Pulls, Platoon creation, shop extras |
Early accounts feel gated by levels. Later accounts feel gated by conductors and gold. The farming and resources page splits weekly stamina so you do not max one Doll to a cap you cannot break. Event shops during Chiral Redundancy should take leftover stamina after the daily story and Patrol obligations.
When to join a Platoon
Platoon is the guild layer, not a second story mode. You can join at Commander level 20. Creating a Platoon costs Collapse Pieces; joining an existing one does not. Wait until 20, then join a group that actually runs Daily Patrol and Gunsmoke Frontline. Gunsmoke is guild-scored PvE: Outpost Battles plus Decisive Battles. You do not need it on day one, and you should not spend 200 Collapse Pieces to found an empty guild. Details sit on Platoon and Gunsmoke.
First-week checklist
Work this list in order. It is meant to be boring on purpose.
- Confirm Darkwinter or Haoplay and write down the UID.
- Clear SL-1-2, claim mailbox, redeem codes.
- Finish Beginner Procurement (five discounted tens).
- Read combat and tiles before the first hard story wall.
- Push campaign for Commander Level; mix Combat Reports with blueprints once Supply nodes unlock.
- Check current banners before converting Collapse Pieces.
- At level 20, join a Platoon. Start Daily Patrol the same day.
- Keep the daily checklist open so weekly Patrol and event currencies are not left unclaimed.
Classes you will see on the roster screen are Sentinel, Support, Bulwark, and Vanguard. Ammo type and phase weakness sit next to HP. Keys and Vertebrae (V0 through V6) are duplicate upgrades; do not chase V6 on a standard Doll during week one. A usable weapon plus attachments from weapons and builds will carry more fights than an extra copy.
If a stage still feels unwinnable after you out-level it, the problem is cover facing or a missing phase tile, not a missing five-star. Send that fight back to the combat page, then resume story. The account you keep is the one that still has stamina and pity intact on day seven, not the one that screenshot a lucky ten-pull and then stalled at a level cap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers commanders actually search for.
Which publisher should I pick?
Match the region of the people you want to Platoon with. Darkwinter and Haoplay never transfer. PC and mobile share a save only on the same publisher. Confirm the store listing on official links before you bind email.
When do codes and banners unlock?
After you clear SL-1-2. Claim the mailbox first, then redeem through Settings → Personal Information → Redeem Code. Steps are on how to redeem.
Should I pull the limited banner on day one?
Finish Beginner Procurement first. It is 50 discounted pulls with a guaranteed Elite. After that, read gacha and pity and who to pull before you spend Targeted Access Permissions.
What should I farm first?
Campaign for Commander Level, then a mix of Combat Reports, Analysis Blueprints, and later Stock Boost Bars. Do not dump every Intelligence Puzzle into one material. See farming and resources.
When can I join a Platoon?
Commander level 20. Join an active group instead of founding one, because creation spends Collapse Pieces. Gunsmoke rules are on Platoon and Gunsmoke.
Do I need to reroll to enjoy the game?
No. Keep the account if Beginner Procurement gave any Elite you can build. Reroll only if you enjoy the 15–30 minute reset loop; the steps are in the reroll guide.
