Girls' Frontline 2 Weapons and Builds

V0 is practical. Signatures help. Attachments, Keys, and Helix nodes do more than a random copy.

Weapons and Builds

A Doll build in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium is a stack: level, weapon, attachments, Neural Helix / Keys, then Vertebrae copies. Signature weapons help and are not mandatory at V0. This page is the Global build primer as of Chiral Redundancy / late August 2026. Meta shifts; stat priorities on a new limited may move, but the resource order does not.

This is a child of the Dolls Hub. Use it after you pick names from Best Dolls and staff them in Team Compositions. Letter grades are on the Tier List Hub. Farming routes for the materials below are on Farming Resources. The daily spend plan is the Daily Checklist.

Resource stack (what you actually farm)

  • Combat Reports — Doll levels. The short-term bottleneck. Do not spread them across twelve V0 limiteds.
  • Analysis Blueprints — weapon proficiency. A matching AR/SMG/SG/SR/MG/melee at high proficiency beats a signature sitting at level 1.
  • Sardis Gold — everything: expansion, calibration, shops. You will never have enough; stop spending it on bench cosmetics.
  • Boost Stock / Neural Expansion materials — level-cap unlocks every ten levels.
  • Transcription Conductors — Neural Helix stat nodes. These are a long-term stamina sink; spend them on Dolls you field.
  • Basic Info Cores — Helix Key nodes. Elite Dolls are expensive here; unlock rotation Keys before vanity nodes.
  • Access Permissions / Collapse Pieces — copies and signatures. Plan with the Pity Planner and gacha pity guide.

Weapon types

Dolls lock to a type: AR, SMG, SG, SR, MG, or melee. You cannot put a sniper rifle on an SMG kit because the banner art looked similar. Crafted and standard Elite weapons are the V0 plan. Limited signature banners use a separate pity track (commonly a lower hard ceiling than character banners — confirm in your client). Do not pull a signature until the Doll is levelled, attached, and keyed.

A practical V0 loadout:

  1. Highest-rarity weapon of the correct type you already own.
  2. Proficiency raised with Analysis Blueprints toward Commander level.
  3. Attachment set that matches the Phase (Corrosion Boost, Burn Boost, Phase Strike, Emergency Repair, Close Assault, and similar in-client set names).
  4. Main stats: ATK% / ATK for most DPS; HP%/DEF% mixed in for shield Supports such as Suomi; Crit Rate and Crit Damage once the floor stats exist.

Calibration (including later extreme calibration) is for attachments you will keep. Do not extreme-calibrate a temporary blue piece.

Keys and Neural Helix

Neural Helix is two jobs: stat nodes and Keys. Fixed Keys are unique to the Doll and come from Helix unlocks. Common Keys can move between Dolls; some of the good ones require finishing another Doll’s Helix, which is an expensive hobby — do not bankrupt cores to steal a 5% ATK Key for a bench unit.

Each Doll equips a mix of Fixed and Common Keys (plus Peak/Expansion slots when that Doll has them). Expansion Keys have already flipped older Elites from “fine” to “core”; they are why this wiki keeps saying meta shifts. If a Doll you own just received an Expansion Key, reread Patch History before you bench her.

Build rule: equip the Keys that change the rotation (extra Confectance, extra Action Support, “start battle with Index,” width/damage riders on the ultimate) before the Keys that add a small stat. Rotation Keys are why V0 Klukai, V0 Qiongjiu, and V0 Suomi still play like themselves.

Vertebrae: V0 practical, V1–V6 optional

Duplicates become Vertebrae (V1 through V6). This wiki ranks Dolls at V0 unless a breakpoint is named.

  • V0 — the playable version. If she needs V6 to appear on a tier list, she is not S-tier here.
  • V1 — often the first real kit change (an extra turn of a debuff, a shield rider, a Burn application). Worth it if you already use her every day.
  • V2–V3 — mixed; some carries (Klukai is the usual example in community talk) have a damage breakpoint in this band. Buy it with leftover pity, not with a panic 160-pull.
  • V4–V6 — whale or long-term SR copy territory. SR Dolls such as Ksenia, Sharkry, and Lotta can drift toward V6 naturally. Elite V6 is a luxury.

Never spend a 50/50 lose-and-two-hard-pities budget “for the copy” if the Doll is unbuilt at V0. Attachments and Keys outperform a raw duplicate on a level-30 frame.

Per-role shortcuts

DPS (Klukai, Makiatto, Leva, Tololo, Vector): ATK%, ATK, Crit Rate, Crit Damage. Phase-matching attachment sets. Signature is a bonus. See the DPS Tier List.
Action Support DPS (Qiongjiu): build her like a carry; her product is follow-ups, not a shield.
Supports (Suomi, Springfield, Centaureissi, Ksenia): mix HP%/DEF% with enough ATK that heals and barriers scale. Emergency Repair or similar sustain sets are valid. See the Support Tier List.
Frontliners (Sabrina): HP/DEF and whatever lets her keep taunting or countering; she is a beginner tool, not a signature chase.

What to do this week

Pick one Doll from Best Dolls who is already on a team. Cap her level, raise her weapon, fill attachments, unlock rotation Keys. Then stop and run the Daily Checklist. A finished V0 Qiongjiu or Tololo will carry more of Chiral Redundancy than three limited signatures with empty Helix trees.

If a banner offers a signature for that same Doll, price it as a weapon-banner problem (separate pity, often 70 hard / 50 soft — confirm in-client), not as a character-banner impulse. Character copies still lose to gear on a V0 frame. Build the gun you have; pull the signature only after the Helix Keys that change her turn are already equipped.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers commanders actually search for.

Do I need a signature weapon at V0?

No. Signatures help and are not mandatory. Raise a matching AR, SMG, SG, SR, MG, or melee with Analysis Blueprints first.

What should I farm first, Combat Reports or Blueprints?

Combat Reports until the Doll you field is near Commander level, then Blueprints for her weapon. Transcription Conductors for Helix are the long-term sink. See Farming Resources.

When is a Vertebrae copy worth pulling?

When you can name the breakpoint (often V1 or V3) and the Doll is already geared. V0 is practical for ranks on the Tier List Hub.

What is the difference between Fixed Keys and Common Keys?

Fixed Keys are unique Helix unlocks for that Doll. Common Keys can move between Dolls. Unlock rotation Fixed Keys before spending cores to steal Common Keys for a bench unit.

Should I pull the weapon banner or the character banner?

Character first if you lack the Doll. Weapon banners use a separate pity track. Plan both with the Pity Planner and Who to Pull.
